Travel Photo: Blue Hour at Limasawa Island

Hello there! Today, I will be featuring a photograph I took while staying in a small fishing island off the coast of Southern Leyte, Philippines.

Where in the world is this?

This photo depicts a peaceful blue hour (l'heure blue) in Limasawa Island, an island which is 30-45 minutes away from mainland Southern Leyte. I was strolling around Brgy. Lugsongan when I snapped this photo. To me, this is an amazing sight to behold-- the view of Panaon Island with the sunset's reflection, the clean ocean, and the fishermen fixing their net on the shore. Limasawa is also a historic island. It is the site of the First Christian Mass in the Orient led by Ferdinand Magellan in 1521. Today, Limasawa Island is fast becoming a favorite travel destination in Southern Leyte.

"But I'm bluer than blue
Sadder than sad
You're the only light
This empty room has ever had
Life without you is gonna be
Bluer than blue"

- Michael Johnson (Bluer Than Blue)

Have you witnessed or captured a blue hour moment in your travels? How was the experience? Feel free to share them here!
