Travel Photo: Philippines' Tallest Bridge

Hi there! Today, I will be featuring a photograph I captured while wandering around the province of Southern Leyte, Philippines.

Where in the world is this?

This is the Agas-Agas Bridge in Brgy. Kahupian, Sogod, Southern Leyte. It is the Philippines' tallest and highest bridge. It stands at 292 feet above the ground and is linking two mountains along the Sogod-Mahaplag national highway. Because of its scenic view, the spot is now a tourist haven and a great place for high-adrenaline adventures like the zipline and cable car riding. This bridge is an "engineering feat" and was constructed due to the constant danger of landslides in the area especially during rainy seasons.

“Golden bridge, silver bridge or diamond bridge; it doesn’t matter! As long as the bridge takes you across the other side, it is a good bridge!” ― Mehmet Murat ildan

Have you been to Agas-Agas Bridge? Have you tried the zipline or cable car? Please share your experiences here!
