Leyte Travel Series: A Sunset in Baybay

Leyte Travel Series is a series of posts that will describe the places I have explored here in Leyte, my home province.

The Sunset

Because of an innate desire to capture spectacular sunset views, I was so privileged to see a sun that was ready to set on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Baybay, Leyte. The sunset view was made even more spectacular because of the city's geographical location-- it faces the Camotes Sea on the west.

A new city in the province of Leyte, Baybay acquired its city status on February 15, 2011. It is located on the western part of Leyte, and a comfortable 1 hour bus ride from Ormoc City. If you are coming from Tacloban, Baybay is two hours away.

If you'd like to capture Leyte's most beautiful sunsets, head to Baybay. Just like Ormoc, it is truly a great place to see a setting sun!

Where is Baybay, Leyte on the map?
