"10 Days of Prayer" is an initiative formulated by the leaders of the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church that encourages all the people around the world to plead and pray for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. This is a call to pray!
This program had started yesterday, January 9, 2013 and will end on January 18. On Sabbath, January 19, will be the culmination and celebration of the program.

Their website states:
"God poured out His Spirit in Pentecost power after His church spent ten days together, pleading for His promised blessing. He is ready to do it again today! All around the world, Adventist churches are experiencing the renewal of the Holy Spirit by following the disciples’ example and participating in Ten Days of Prayer.
The Ten Days of Prayer initiative (formerly called Operation Global Rain) was adopted by the world church in 2010. Churches in over a hundred countries have received rich blessings through Ten Days of Prayer."
Many people have been blessed by joining the Ten Days of Prayer last year. And here are their testimonials:
"It was a beautiful time of fellowship and prayer. I feel so much closer to my church family and with God. I can feel and see myself growing into a woman of God. Taking the role of prayer leader was a big task but I thank God for sustaining me during the 10 days."
--Jessica Cutting, North Mackay SDA Church
"During the 10 Days of Prayer our church asked for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The Sabbath program was really special because it had time in the morning for prayer and divine worship. The congregation was invited to seek earnestly the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and took part in the global fasting. I believe in this generation that the Lord will do great things today, tomorrow, and always."

The Holy Bible admonishes us to "pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians 5: 17).
So, I am inviting everyone to pray heartily for the Holy Spirit in these Ten Days of Prayer. God bless us all!
