Travel Photo: Two Destinations

Today, I will be featuring a photograph I took while exploring a capital city in one of the countries in Southeast Asia.

Where in the world is this?

This is a street marker along Rue 23 Singha in the central district of Vientiane, Laos. This marker points to two opposite directions and to two tourist and world-renowned destinations in Laos-- the Patouxay and That Luang.

The Patouxay or Patuxai is a war monument which literally means, "Victory Gate" or "Gate of Triumph". While, That Luang or Pha That Luang, the "Great Stupa" is a gigantic Buddhist stupa which is covered with gold.

Which of these destinations you'd like to visit first? Share your answers here!

  4. Looks like dilemma, but since i can't split my body in two. I choose the latter one... the Luang or Pha That Luang, the "Great Stupa"...looks like I will be fascinated looking at it.
