With Laagan na Cebuana at Sayaw Beach in Barili, Cebu.
I will never forget this day! It is because this is my first time to travel with a lady on my side. And that lady is Kareen of Laagan na Cebuana, a fellow travel blogger based in Cebu City. She invited me to go with her on a road trip to Barili and Carcar in Cebu, Philippines.
What makes this trip meaningful? It is Kareen's birthday! And she decided, to travel with me and celebrate it on the road! Quite unique, right?
We arrived in Barili at around 8:30 am after more than an hour bus ride from Cebu City. We immediately visited my cousin, ate our breakfast, and then, off we go!
First stop: Mantayupan Falls
One of the tallest waterfalls in the entire province of Cebu.
The first falls. Height- 98 meters.
The second falls. Height- 14 meters.
Next stop: Sayaw Beach and Rock Formations
A white-sand beach along the highway between the towns of Barili and Dumanjug. The beach is facing Negros Oriental. We did some swimming and boating. We discovered its impressive rock formations and mysterious cave.
Sayaw Rock Formations
Last stop: Carcar, Cebu
A dinner and a quick tour around the Heritage City of Cebu, Carcar.
The famous Carcar Rotunda.
What a grand way to celebrate a birthday! A birthday full of fun, adventures, excitement, and surprises! I will also try this, for sure.
Wishing you more birthdays and travels to come, Kareen!
