Snapshots of Dalaguete, Cebu

Dalaguete is a first class municipality in the southeastern part of the province of Cebu. It is dubbed as the "Vegetable Basket of Cebu" and the "Summer Capital of Cebu". The town is famous for its bounteous harvest of fresh vegetables and it's a little bit cooler in their highlands. Dalaguete's name is taken from the dalakit tree that can be found in Obong Spring.

For more information, you may visit their website at www.dalaguete.gov.ph.

During our Southern Cebu trip with Journeying James, we passed by Dalaguete to see its historical attractions.

And on our 2-day Cebu South Adventures last February, Roy and I, scaled Osmeña Peak.

Here are some snapshots. Enjoy!

The Poblacion Watchtower, also known as Bantay Moros and Kiosko.

We squeezed some time to play with these kids in their plaza.

  1. Ang ganda pala sa Dalaguete. Rustic na rustic ang dating. Hindi ko sure kung nadaanan namin ito nung pumunta kami ng Boljoon at Oslob. Sana next time mapuntahan din namin toh

  3. I studied in Cebu (SWU - til 6th grade) for 2 years and the only out-of-the-city trip we had before we're back in Manila was a trip in Kawasan Falls. I miss Cebu and this post makes me missin it more! I wish I can visit it back soon. :)
